Welcome to my new blog!  It was a lot of work behind the scenes to move here, nearly as much as moving house I reckon, but it will be worth it.  We even did a photoshoot, Pete behind the camera and the dogs photo-bombing half the photos!     You might be wondering why I wanted to spent weeks moving my blog over to a new website..... well when I started this blog seven years ago on the free Google platform "blogger" I had no idea what I was doing.  I just thought it would be fun to share some...

Its been cold this month, and very nice to have the fire going every night. Here's a photo of my boy in his cape, great for late night woofing at things. Most of July we were either preparing for the butcher to come or putting meat away. Its always a big job, but its only once a year, and its all done now. We have a lot more to move from the...

It actually rained on and off for about a week, about 50 mm at each property in total and we had to mow the grass for only the third time this season. And then we had a visit from ex-tropical cyclone Debbie, with...

February was another hot month, with not much rain.  The grass at Nanango is now brown and crunchy.  Kumbia is still green due to the rain we had at the end of January.  The evenings have just started to cool down as we welcome autumn (about time!).

 Food and cooking

The garden has not been very productive in the hot weather, however the giant chilli bushes are very healthy and I harvested two...
