This Plastic-Free Shampoo and Conditioner Combo is designed to provide sustainable, natural hair care with zero plastic waste. These solid bars replace traditional plastic bottles and are gentle on all hair types - an eco-friendly way to stay beautiful.
Options:
1) get both the shampoo and conditioner bars in the their own small aluminium storage tins
2) both bars without the tins - the shampoo bar will have a small paper wrapper, and the conditioner bar is in a compostable cellophane bag (as shown in the product photo)
Ingredients:
Shampoo
Tallow, coconut oil, olive oil, shea butter, avocado oil, castor oil, goat's milk, rainwater, lye, honey, lavender and rosemary essential oils.
Conditioner Bar
Cationic surfactant, cetyl alcohol, cocoa buter, jojoba oil, argan oil, glycerine, oat protein, vitamin B, vitamin E, citrus essential oil blend
How to use a shampoo bar
You use a shampoo soap bar just like shampoo, either lather it up in your hands or directly in your hair, work the soap suds through your hair and then rinse. Repeat if necessary.
I recommend that you give the shampoo soap bar a chance and use it for a few weeks before deciding whether it is working for you. It takes time for your scalp and hair to adjust. Try a different shampoo soap bar until you find one that you like (any that don't work out as shampoo can still be used for hand or body soap).
How to use a conditioner bar
After using the shampoo bar, swipe the conditioner bar over damp hair (mostly over the ends), and rinse - see this blog post for more information on how to use a conditioner bar.
Why Plastic-Free?
Plastic is an amazing, durable material that we can use to make many useful items. But its durability is a problem when we use plastic once and then throw it away. Plastic takes thousands of years to break down, meanwhile it’s a hazard to wildlife and our own health.
While it is impossible to avoid all plastic, there are many products now available without plastic packaging. For example, using a shampoo and conditioner bar avoids the need for plastic bottles. The soap bars replace bottles of body wash.
How to store your shampoo and conditioner bar
Both bars will last longer if kept dry between uses. Either on a soap dish or put away in the optional aluminium storage tins.
Each Full Size Bar of soap is approximately 100-110g.
The Batch of 10 bars is made to order, so there will be a delay of up to 6 weeks while I hand make your soap and allow it to cure before posting it to you. The loaf of soap will be cut into 10 bars for you.
The Mini Bar size is a Full Size Bar cut into four pieces, so it is approximately 25-30g. This is perfect if you want to sample a few soaps, for travel or for guest soaps.
If you want your soap labelled, please select “wrapped”, otherwise they will be packed without labels (“naked”). The labels are a small recycled paper wrapper showing ingredients.
All soaps are handmade using natural ingredients, so each batch is unique and may be slightly different to the photos shown here.
