These are handmade pure beeswax candles with no added colour or fragrance. They are long-burning candles with a beautiful natural scent, even when not lit.

• Beeswax is safe, non-toxic and biodegradable - the perfect material for making candles 
• Beeswax is naturally scented (smells faintly of honey). These candles contain no additives or artificial fragrances, just the pure beeswax and a cotton wick.

Two sizes are available:

• Pillar (Large) - 8cm x 4.5cm, 100g, 12 hour + burn time
• Skep (Small) - 4.5cm x 4cm, 40g, 5 hour + burn time

Honey bees make beeswax and use it wax to form honeycomb cells which are then filled with brood, pollen or honey. Once the honey cells are full, they are capped with a fresh layer of wax. When we extract the honey from the honeycomb, we cut off that top layer of wax. We use filters to strain the beeswax from the honey. The beeswax is then melted and filtered before being made into candles.

BESSWAX CANDLE BURNING INSTRUCTIONS

Keep the wick centred & trimmed to ¼” to ensure even burning & prevent flame from becoming too large. Burn only on a stable, heat resistant surface for no more than four hours at a time. Stop using candle when only ¼” of wax remains. Do not move a candle while burning or if wax is hot.
